Breakout Garden Mini (I2C + SPI)
Breakout Garden for Raspberry Pi now offers enhanced functionality with SPI support! This versatile board allows you to easily connect up to three Pimoroni breakouts (2 I2C and 1 SPI) to your Raspberry Pi without any soldering. Simply plug the breakouts into the slots and start coding.
## Features
– Three robust edge-connector slots for Pimoroni breakouts
– 2x I2C slots (5 pins each)
– 1x SPI slot (7 pins)
– 0.1″ pitch connectors
– Broken-out pins with included male header
– Reverse polarity protection on breakouts
– pHAT form factor
– Compatible with all 40-pin Raspberry Pi models
## Easy Prototyping
Breakout Garden simplifies project prototyping by eliminating the need for complex wiring, soldering, or breadboards. Its modular design allows you to easily swap breakouts and reconfigure your setup as needed.
## Using Breakout Garden
The I2C slots are interchangeable due to I2C’s bus protocol. Each I2C device has a unique address, allowing multiple devices to be used simultaneously.
The SPI slot provides faster communication for devices like displays. It uses chip select 1 (BCM 7) and BCM 19 for the GPIO pin.
Breakout Garden includes built-in reverse polarity protection and clearly labeled pins to ensure proper connection. Additional pins are broken out along the top for integrating other devices into your projects.
This versatile board streamlines the process of adding sensors, displays, and other components to your Raspberry Pi projects, making it an invaluable tool for makers and hobbyists.
