3D Printer Controller RAMPS 1.4

The RepRap Arduino-compatible MEGA Pololu Shield, or RAMPS for short. Designed to fit all the electronics needed for a RepRap in one small low cost package.

RAMPS interfaces an Arduino-compatible Mega with the powerful Arduino-compatible MEGA platform with room for expansion.

Efficient modular design includes plug in stepper drivers and extruder control electronics on an Arduino-compatible MEGA shield for easy service, part replacement, upgrade-ability and expansion. Also a number of Arduino expansion boards can be added to the system as long as the main RAMPS board is kept to the top of the stack.

Arduino Mega 2560 R3 control board: This is a 3d printer brain responsible for controlling the entire printer to perform certain actions, such as print specific documents;
RAMPS1.4: This is the main board above the expansion board, there it is in order to better connect with other hardware and control, play the role of a bridge;
A4988 stepper motor driver board: This is used to connect the stepper motor control board in order to achieve control of the stepper motor and extruder to achieve XYZ movement;
3D 2004 LCD control panel: used to display, to achieve the 3D printer’s control.

Version 1.4 uses surface mount capacitors and resistors to further cover edge issue cases.

It is simple to wire up the RAMPS. Just add the extruder heating coil wire to D10, the thermistor to the two T0 pins on middle right right, and wire up the steppers and endstops. From left to right, wire all of the stepper motor’s wires as red, blue, green, and black or red, green, yellow, blue into the pins next to the Pololus. When you connect the wires to the endstops (if you are using 3 endstops, plug them into the MIN (-) slots), make sure you match the labels.
